Ok Ladies let’s weigh in on this one…
Recently scientist have come across a new species of horse fly…
And because of it’s golden butt, and the scientific communities practice of naming new finds after celebrities, they’ve named this discovery “Bootylicious” after my girl Beyonce…
Let’s compare for similarities…
Hmmmmmmm…
A couple of thoughts come to mind…. 1.Have there been no other recent species discoveries that meet the criteria for naming her, that weren’t horse flies?… not my favorite insect. 2. Where did this notion come from that Mrs. Jay-z has a golden butt with the exception of her husband, Moma and now a handful of doctors since the delivery of her first child, who really knows!!!
Now I realize there are mixed reviews on how folks feel about Beyonce, I for one love her, and little does she know we are BFF…I do this with a lot of people that I don’t know yet but like, respect and would want to some day have an incredible friendship with…that said…
I felt well cool even the scientific community can recognize a sister so that’s not so bad it’s even kind of cute the reasons why this 24 year old researcher wants his discovery to have her name…Then I swing to the other side and say…”could we have found a different species something more in keeping with her awesome drive to succeed, her beauty and glamour, her well balanced character and lack of public drama, her musical talents and family loyalty…I mean really I can think of a number of wonderful qualities to associate her with…
Yet in the end I’ve concluded and in the words of one of my other BFF Anna Dello Russo, when asked how she felt about a comment made in the media in which the writer felt she looked androgynous in a particular outfit she was rocking…it was reported that she thought for a moment and then responded “Why Not?”
So in the end…Why the hell not?… Right?… If I had just about anything named for my fame I’d be game… :)
